Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Maths to join a thriving and ambitious secondary school in Berkshire. This is a full-time position starting in September 2026, with outstanding support and mentoring provided to ensure you establish yourself successfully in your teaching career. ECT Maths Teacher required to work on a full-time basis Good mixed secondary school in Berkshire Join a successful and supportive Maths department with a structured ECT programme This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated new teacher to begin their career in a school that is well-regarded for academic excellence and pastoral care. The successful candidate will teach Maths across KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities to contribute to KS5 teaching. You will benefit from a dedicated mentor, tailored CPD, and a collaborative department that values innovation and creativity in teaching. Experience and Qualifications ECT Maths Teacher (PGCE or equivalent completed) Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Mathematics Commitment to continuous professional growth and reflective practice Dedication to inspiring and motivating young learners Legal ability to work within the UK School Information This oversubscribed 11–18 secondary school in Berkshire has a reputation for both academic success and holistic student development. The school has invested significantly in its facilities, with state-of-the-art Maths classrooms, ICT suites, and a dedicated Sixth Form centre. Maths is one of the school’s strongest departments, with GCSE results consistently above national averages. In 2023, over 80% of students achieved grades 9–5 in Maths, and a high proportion of A-Level students continued their studies into Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and STEM-related courses at top universities.
