Job description
SENCO – Outstanding Primary School – Ealing – April Start Position: SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) Location: Ealing Start Date: April 2025 Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience We are looking for a passionate and experienced SENCO to join our outstanding primary school in Ealing. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and enhance the provision for students with special educational needs within a highly supportive and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate the special educational needs provision across the school, ensuring all students with SEN receive high-quality support. Work closely with class teachers to implement strategies and interventions that meet the individual needs of students. Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, support staff, and external professionals. Oversee the assessment of students with SEN and use data to track progress and adapt strategies as required. Provide guidance and professional development to staff on best practices for supporting students with additional needs. Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to supporting students' academic, social, and emotional well-being. Promote an inclusive and nurturing school culture where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. Manage the SEN budget and resources effectively, ensuring provisions are in place to support students. Who We’re Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognized SENCO qualification. Proven experience as a SENCO, preferably in a primary school setting. Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, best practices, and the range of interventions available. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting students with diverse needs. Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Why Join Us?
