Attendance Officer – Mixed Secondary School in Merton (January Start) Location: Merton Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale A supportive mixed secondary school in Merton is seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to join its pastoral support team from January. About the School The school places strong emphasis on student welfare, safeguarding, and consistent attendance. The attendance team plays a key role in improving outcomes and engagement. The Role • Monitor daily attendance and punctuality across the school. • Contact parents and carers regarding absences. • Produce attendance reports and identify patterns of concern. • Work closely with pastoral leaders and safeguarding staff. Requirements • Experience in an attendance, pastoral, or administrative role (desirable). • Excellent communication and organisational skills. • Confident using school data systems.
