Job description
PE Teacher – Join a Dynamic, Well-Rounded Department in the West Midlands – Birmingham A vibrant and dynamic secondary school in the Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic ECT of PE with a girls' sports specialism (Netball/Dance preferred) for January 2026. ECT: PE Teacher required from January 2026 Birmingham -based school with excellent facilities and a dynamic sports programme. Ideal for an ECT focused on engaging extra-curricular participation and community involvement. You will teach core PE across KS3/4, with opportunities to teach GCSE/A-Level PE theory based on experience. A significant part of the role is leading extra-curricular clubs and contributing to the dynamic fixtures schedule in your specialist sport. Experience and Qualifications QTS or completing final training in PE or Sports Science . A strong coaching background in at least one girls' team sport (Netball, Dance, or Hockey). Enthusiasm for contributing to a well-rounded school life outside of core lessons. Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive sporting culture. School Information The PE department is well-equipped with modern facilities, including a new sports hall and floodlit pitches. The school offers a highly supportive environment for ECTs, with a focus on coaching and feedback over formal observation. The dynamic team is committed to making sport accessible to all students. Excellent, well-equipped sports facilities are provided. Supportive mentorship model focuses on practical coaching skills. Opportunity to lead highly engaging extra-curricular clubs.
