Job description

The Opportunity & Role Profile This prestigious independent school requires a strategic and proactive Facilities Manager to lead its site operations. The role demands an expert in estates management, capable of overseeing budgets, capital projects, and a high level of statutory compliance to maintain the school's excellent standards. Core Responsibilities & Scope Strategic Leader: Planning and executing both reactive and long-term Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules. Compliance Chief: Managing all contracts, procuring services, and ensuring the estate is fully compliant with all H&S, fire, and regulatory legislation. Resource Manager: Managing the annual premises budget and directing external contractors and in-house site staff. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Extensive managerial experience in facilities or estates management, preferably within an educational or heritage setting. Salary Range: Highly competitive salary compensated on the school's independent pay scale (expected to be £52,000 - £65,000 per annum), reflecting Inner London weighting. Support: Generous independent school pension scheme and enhanced benefits package.
