Job description
Physics Teacher – Secure top results in a highly academic Sixth Form environment – Waltham Forest A high-performing , academic secondary school in Waltham Forest with an outstanding Sixth Form is seeking a Physics Teacher to join their Science Department from January 2026. This role involves a high proportion of challenging KS5 teaching . Physics Specialist required from January 2026 Waltham Forest-based academic school with a specialist science focus Ideal for a specialist passionate about advanced mechanics and Russell Group university preparation The role involves teaching KS5 Physics (A-Level/IB), focusing on advanced electricity and quantum theory . You'll be expected to design and execute challenging practical tasks , lead academic extension sessions , and contribute to the school's STEM enrichment programme. Experience and Qualifications QTS and a degree in Physics (Masters degree highly desirable) Proven ability to teach and achieve high grades at A-Level Physics Experience or capacity to mentor students for competitive engineering courses Commitment to maintaining a stimulating and rigorous classroom environment School Information This school prides itself on its rigorous academic standards and supportive staff culture. The Science department is well-established , with excellent technician support and a track record of internal staff progression.
