Job description
A highly successful and well-established co-educational comprehensive school in the picturesque Richmond area seeks a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher for a full-time, permanent position commencing in September. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving Arts department within a school committed to the academic and creative development of its students. The Music department is well-resourced and fosters a love of music across all year groups. About the Role: Deliver engaging and varied Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering music theory, history, composition, and performance. Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that cater to a range of musical interests and abilities. Assess student progress through practical performances, compositions, written work, and aural tests, providing constructive feedback. Contribute to the vibrant extracurricular musical life of the school, including leading or assisting with school ensembles and choirs. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Music. A strong knowledge of music theory, history, and performance practices. Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument. Excellent communication and organizational skills. A passion for music and the ability to inspire a lifelong appreciation for the subject. Benefits: Competitive salary (MPS/UPS + Outer London Weighting) commensurate with experience.
