Food Technology Teacher - Kingston upon Thames Salary: Competitive (details on application) Location: Kingston upon Thames, London Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Department: Design and Technology / Food Technology Job Title : Food Technology Teacher About the Role: A secondary school in Kingston upon Thames is seeking a passionate and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join their Design and Technology department. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering the opportunity to inspire students and foster a love of cooking, nutrition, and food science. The Food Technology Teacher will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Assess student progress and provide regular feedback. Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress. Create a safe, positive, and inclusive kitchen environment. Collaborate with colleagues within the D&T department. Contribute to the development of the Food Technology curriculum. Ensure compliance with all food hygiene and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians. Adhere to all school safeguarding policies. Skills and Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching Food Technology/Food Preparation and Nutrition at Key Stages 3 and 4 (GCSE). Strong knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and nutrition. Excellent practical cooking skills. Excellent classroom and kitchen management skills. Ability to motivate and engage students.
