Job description
We are seeking an organised, efficient, and professional School Administrator to join a welcoming and well-established school in Bath, starting ASAP. This is a vital role within the school office, supporting daily operations and ensuring the smooth running of administrative processes. The school has a positive, inclusive ethos and a strong sense of community. The administration team plays a key role in supporting pupils, staff, parents, and senior leaders, helping the school to operate effectively and professionally. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive administrative support to the school office and leadership team Manage pupil records, data entry, and filing systems accurately Respond to telephone calls, emails, and enquiries in a professional manner Support communication between parents, staff, and external agencies Assist with attendance records and daily registers Prepare letters, documents, and reports as required Coordinate meetings, appointments, and school events Ensure compliance with GDPR, safeguarding, and school policies Maintain an organised, efficient, and welcoming office environment Support wider administrative and operational tasks as needed The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Have previous experience in school or office administration Be highly organised with strong attention to detail Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Be confident using Microsoft Office and school management systems Be proactive, adaptable, and able to prioritise workloads Be professional, friendly, and approachable Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing The school is located in Bath, with excellent transport links and a supportive staff team.
