Music ECT – High-Achieving Secondary School – Bristol – September Start Location: Bristol Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: MPS (ECT) A high-achieving and well-respected secondary school in Bristol is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join its thriving Music department in September. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to develop their skills in a supportive and inspiring environment that values the arts and provides students with excellent opportunities to explore their musical talents. Opportunities to contribute to an extensive extracurricular music program, including choirs, orchestras, bands, and school productions. Your Role as a Music ECT: Plan and deliver engaging and creative Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities to contribute to KS5. Develop students' skills in performance, composition, and music theory, fostering a love for music across different styles and genres. Support students in developing confidence and self-expression through music. Contribute to the school's vibrant extracurricular program, including concerts, music clubs, and ensembles. Work closely with the Head of Music and colleagues to refine and develop the Music curriculum. Who We’re Looking For: A passionate and motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a degree in Music and a PGCE or equivalent qualification. Strong musical knowledge and the ability to teach a broad range of styles and instruments. A commitment to fostering creativity and inspiring students to develop their musical abilities. Strong communication and classroom management skills. A willingness to contribute to the wider school community through music performances and events. Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one). This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Career Teacher to develop their skills in a supportive and inspiring school environment.
