Job description
A high-achieving 11–18 school in Gloucester is seeking an ambitious and inspiring Physics ECT to join their Science Faculty from January 2026. This full-time, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career teacher to develop their practice in a department known for academic excellence and scientific curiosity. About the Role You will teach Physics from KS3–KS5, designing engaging and practical lessons that nurture critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The department promotes experimentation and research-based learning, encouraging students to connect theory to real-world applications. As part of your induction, you will receive one-to-one mentoring, lesson observations, and targeted CPD focused on developing effective teaching strategies and classroom confidence. You will also contribute to STEM projects, science clubs, and academic enrichment events, helping to inspire future scientists and engineers. About the School This high-performing Gloucester school combines academic ambition with strong pastoral care. The Science Department is equipped with modern laboratories, interactive learning tools, and full technical support.
