The Role in a Nutshell Lead a Year 1 class , creating a stimulating and nurturing environment that inspires confidence and curiosity. Plan and deliver engaging, purposeful lessons that build key literacy and numeracy skills. Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs. Foster positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for every child. Contribute enthusiastically to the wider life of the school and its community. Who We’re Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience in KS1 (Year 1 preferred). A creative, reflective practitioner who brings energy and commitment to their teaching. Strong understanding of early primary pedagogy and child development. Excellent classroom management skills and a nurturing approach.
