Job description
A creative and inclusive secondary school in South London is looking to appoint a dedicated Art Technician to support its thriving Art & Design department from January 2026 . This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the learning experience of young artists in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment. Position Overview Role: Art Technician Location: South London Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time | Permanent Salary: £22,000–£27,000 (dependent on experience) About the School An Ofsted Outstanding mixed secondary school with excellent facilities and creative energy. Supportive leadership and a collaborative arts faculty. Students who are enthusiastic, imaginative, and eager to explore creativity. Modern art studios with specialist resources and digital tools. About the Role Support teachers and students in preparing materials for art lessons. Maintain art supplies, equipment, and displays in the department. Assist with exhibitions, GCSE/A Level showcases, and practical workshops. Promote safe use of tools and materials within the studio environment. What We’re Looking For Experience in an art-based or technician role preferred. Strong organisational and practical skills. Ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
