Job description
Are you an inspirational Reception Teacher ready to shape the earliest learning experiences from January 2026? We are recruiting a caring and experienced Reception Teacher for a vibrant school in Surrey. The successful Reception Teacher will lead a Reception cohort, plan an engaging Early Years curriculum, and create a nurturing environment that supports children’s development across all prime and specific areas. The Reception Teacher will work with parents and colleagues to ensure smooth transitions and strong attainment. This is a brilliant role for a reflective Reception Teacher who enjoys building foundational literacy and numeracy through play-based, structured learning. Key details for the Reception Teacher: • Reception Teacher – Permanent role starting January 2026. • Based in Surrey, with supportive leadership and strong Early Years resources. • Excellent opportunities for professional development for the Reception Teacher. Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum as a Reception Teacher. • Assess progress and use formative assessment to shape learning for reception children — core to the Reception Teacher role. • Build positive relationships with parents and lead transition activities — essential for the Reception Teacher. About the school: This Surrey school offers high-quality outdoor spaces, an invested SENCO and enthusiastic support staff — the perfect setting for a passionate Reception Teacher. The post begins January 2026, with the Reception Teacher involved in spring-term planning from January 2026. Requirements: • Qualified teacher with Early Years experience as a Reception Teacher. • Strong understanding of EYFS practice and statutory assessments. • Able to start January 2026 and be based in Surrey.
