Job description
History Teacher – Instill Academic Rigour and Historical Scholarship in a Supportive West London School – Hillingdon A supportive secondary school in Hillingdon requires a highly capable History Teacher with a passion for academic rigour from January 2026. History Specialist required from January 2026 Hillingdon-based school with a rigorous focus on academic excellence and a supportive staff culture Ideal for a teacher committed to source analysis and developing challenging historical essays. You'll teach History across KS3–KS5 (GCSE/A-Level), with a significant focus on rigorous analytical skills. The role involves designing a challenging curriculum that emphasizes historiography, critical evaluation of sources, and securing strong grades at KS4/5. Experience and Qualifications QTS and a degree in History (Post-graduate qualification preferred) Proven ability to achieve high grades at A-Level History is desirable Experience in delivering challenging extension material and academic debate Commitment to maintaining a structured and rigorous classroom School Information The Humanities department is collaborative and benefits from a strong culture of scholarly exchange.
