Your Role as a Year 6 Teacher Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and interactive lessons tailored to Year 6 pupils. Prepare students for SATs and the transition to secondary school with a strong focus on academic achievement and personal growth. Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback. Encourage children to develop critical thinking, independence, and a love for learning. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure every child reaches their potential. Participate in staff meetings, training, and school-wide initiatives. What We’re Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6. A strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and effective SATs preparation strategies. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. A passion for inclusive education and fostering a love of learning in young children. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
