Job description
An established Good primary in Guildford is recruiting a creative and compassionate Year 1 Teacher to join its KS1 team on a Full-Time basis from January 2026 . The Year 1 Teacher will be supported by an experienced phase leader and will begin planning and induction in the run up to January 2026 , ready to teach as a Full-Time Year 1 Teacher from January 2026 . • Year 1 Teacher required for a Full-Time role beginning January 2026 • Year 1 Teacher to join a warm, ambitious Good-rated primary in Guildford • Year 1 Teacher: small classes, excellent TA support, strong CPD from January 2026 About the role — Year 1 Teacher As the Year 1 Teacher , you will deliver high-quality phonics, guided reading and early writing lessons. The Year 1 Teacher will create an organised, stimulating classroom where talk, vocabulary and number confidence thrive. The Year 1 Teacher will use formative assessment to track progress and run targeted small-group interventions. This Year 1 Teacher role is Full-Time and permanent, and the school offers a strong induction package in January 2026 . The Year 1 Teacher will begin pre-term planning and induction before January 2026 , attend training in January 2026 and lead the class as a Full-Time Year 1 Teacher from January 2026 . Contract details This is a Full-Time Year 1 Teacher vacancy starting January 2026 , with induction, mentoring and CPD scheduled through January 2026 and beyond.
