Job description
A well-led 11–18 secondary school in Northampton is seeking an ambitious and reflective Early Career Teacher of History to join its established Humanities faculty. The school has a strong reputation for developing ECTs through careful mentoring, consistent classroom systems and a curriculum built around disciplinary knowledge and exam readiness. This is an ideal first post for a History ECT who wants clarity, structure and genuine professional support. The Role You will teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, following a carefully sequenced curriculum that develops chronological understanding, source analysis and extended analytical writing. The department balances core British history with global perspectives, including empire, conflict and civil rights movements.
