Deputy SENCo – Outstanding Secondary School – Croydon Role: Deputy SENCo Nature: Permanent , Full Time Start: ASAP Salary: MPS-UPS An outstanding secondary school in Croydon is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy SENCo to join their exceptional team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and furthering an inclusive educational environment. You will play a key role in leading and enhancing SEN provision , ensuring that every student receives the tailored support they need to thrive. As the Deputy SENCo , you will support the SENCo in overseeing the school’s SEN strategy, including developing and implementing individualized learning plans, collaborating with staff, and ensuring that the needs of students with SEN are fully met. You will help lead a dynamic team of support staff and work closely with parents, external agencies , and other key stakeholders to ensure that all students receive the best possible education. Role Highlights: Permanent, full-time position at an outstanding secondary school in Croydon Support the SENCo in leading the school’s SEN provision and ensuring high standards of support Work closely with teaching staff to provide individualized learning plans and monitor student progress Lead and support a team of SEN support staff in delivering tailored interventions and classroom support Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for students Participate in professional development and leadership opportunities to further your SEN expertise Experience & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience as a SENCO or Deputy SENCO Experience working with students with a range of SEN in a secondary school setting A strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and the ability to implement effective SEN strategies Leadership and management skills , with the ability to guide and support a team Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with staff and external partners Enhanced DBS check required Why Join Us?
