Job description
Religious Studies ECT required January 2026 Mixed secondary school based in Bushey RS ECT to join a reflective and well-supported Humanities team A community-focused secondary school in Bushey is seeking a Religious Studies ECT to join its Humanities faculty from January 2026. This is a strong opportunity for an ECT to develop confidence within a supportive and values-driven environment. Role Overview The RS ECT will teach KS3 and KS4, delivering lessons focused on ethics, philosophy and religious understanding. The department benefits from shared planning, strong curriculum sequencing and supportive leadership. School Information This 11–16 school educates approximately 1,150 pupils and is recognised for its respectful student culture, strong safeguarding systems and inclusive values. RS plays an important role in the school’s personal development curriculum. ECTs receive weekly mentoring, personalised development targets and regular feedback. Staff describe the school as caring, well-led and committed to nurturing early career teachers.
