Job description
About the Role A leading Outstanding school in Islington is looking for a knowledgeable Sociology Teacher to enhance their social sciences department. This permanent, full-time role begins in April, and provides the opportunity to instruct students in sociological studies up to A-Level. About the School This school boasts an excellent social science program, well-equipped resource center, and a dynamic learning atmosphere. The Sociology department offers students exposure to contemporary sociological research, guest lectures, and university partnerships. Staff receive ongoing professional development, leadership opportunities, and a collaborative planning environment. Responsibilities Deliver Sociology lessons for A-Level, engaging students with critical analysis of social structures and issues. Mentor students through A-Level projects and assignments. Assess and provide feedback on student work. Collaborate in the development and refinement of the Sociology curriculum. Organize sociological debates and discussions. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Sociology or a related field. PGCE or QTS. Prior experience teaching Sociology at A-Level.
