Job description
A supportive and high-achieving secondary school in York is seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher (ECT) to join their department on a full-time, permanent basis from January. Job Overview You will be responsible for: • Teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4 • Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons • Supporting students of mixed abilities with confidence • Planning lessons with guidance from experienced colleagues • Assessing progress and providing constructive feedback • Developing strong classroom routines and behaviour management The School This York secondary school is recognised for: • A positive Ofsted rating and strong academic outcomes • A nurturing Maths department with experienced mentors • Clear behaviour policies and structured support • A well-established ECT induction programme • Strong commitment to staff development Experience & Qualifications • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics • Willingness to learn and develop professionally • Enthusiasm for teaching and student progress Application Please submit your CV to be considered for this Maths Teacher (ECT) role in York.
