Job description
A busy and inclusive 11–16 school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a confident and professional Receptionist / Attendance Officer from January 2026. The Role This dual-role position involves welcoming visitors and managing front-of-house communication while also maintaining accurate daily attendance records. It’s a key role that supports both pastoral care and school administration. Key Responsibilities Greeting parents, visitors and contractors in a friendly, professional manner Managing incoming calls and messages for staff Recording, monitoring and following up on student attendance and punctuality Communicating with parents regarding absence and attendance concerns Supporting safeguarding procedures and visitor management About You Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment Confident using school data systems and Microsoft Office The School This Good -rated school serves a diverse and vibrant community.
