Job description
Location: Bexley Position Type: Permanent Start Date: April 2025 We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a thriving primary school in Bexley in April 2025. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work in a school that values both academic excellence and the holistic development of its students. You will play a key role in preparing children for their final year of primary school and the challenges of transitioning to secondary school. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, creative lessons to Year 6 students, ensuring they meet their academic targets while maintaining a passion for learning. Support students in their preparation for SATs, ensuring that they are well-prepared for both the academic and emotional aspects of their transition to secondary school. Foster a classroom environment that encourages student independence, resilience, and curiosity. Use a range of assessment tools to track student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback. Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching and learning. Maintain strong communication with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and development. Qualifications and Experience Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching Year 6 or Key Stage 2 students. Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and SATs preparation. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. A passion for education and the ability to inspire Year 6 students.
