Job description
About the Role: An Outstanding school in Harrow is seeking a reflective and knowledgeable Religious Education Teacher to join their Humanities department. This full-time, permanent role is available for an immediate start (ASAP), offering an exciting opportunity to explore religious and ethical issues with young people. About the School: This school values spiritual and moral development and provides a welcoming and inclusive environment for students of all faiths and beliefs. The RE department encourages open dialogue and critical thinking, fostering respect for diverse perspectives. Responsibilities: Deliver engaging RE lessons across Key Stages 3-5, covering a range of religious traditions, ethical issues, and philosophical concepts. Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. Encourage students to develop their critical thinking and analytical skills through discussions, debates, and research. Contribute to the development and implementation of the RE curriculum. Promote interfaith understanding and respect within the school community. Ideal Candidate: Passionate about Religious Education and committed to fostering spiritual and ethical growth. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching RE at the secondary level. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
