Job description
History Teacher – Instil Academic Rigour and Historical Scholarship in a High-Performing North West School – Trafford (Manchester) An ambitious and structured secondary school in Trafford, Manchester , requires a highly capable History Teacher committed to driving academic rigour from January 2026. History Specialist required from January 2026 Trafford-based school with an emphasis on academic rigour and historical inquiry Ideal for a teacher dedicated to source analysis and challenging A-Level essay skills. You'll teach History across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE), focusing on securing high-level analytical fluency through highly structured lessons. The department uses a shared mastery scheme of work, providing excellent collaborative support and consistency across all classes. Experience and Qualifications QTS and a degree in History or a closely related Humanities field Experience or strong understanding of delivering challenging historical content Proven ability to manage a classroom effectively and deliver highly structured instruction Commitment to using data for targeted intervention and ensuring strong progress School Information The History department is extremely collaborative , with planning and assessment materials created centrally, significantly reducing individual workload. The school maintains a consistently high standard of pupil conduct, allowing teachers to focus on delivery within a safe and structured environment.
