Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Spanish ECT to join a high-achieving and inclusive secondary school in Rochester. This is a full-time position starting in January 2026 , offering excellent mentoring, structured support, and professional development to help you launch your teaching career successfully. Spanish ECT required to work full-time Outstanding mixed secondary school in Rochester Join a successful and well-resourced Spanish department with a comprehensive ECT induction programme This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic new teacher to begin their career in a school renowned for its academic excellence, supportive ethos, and innovative approach to teaching and learning. The successful candidate will teach Spanish across KS3 and KS4 , with potential to contribute to A-Level Spanish for suitable candidates. Experience and Qualifications • Spanish ECT (PGCE or equivalent completed) • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Spanish education • Commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional growth • Legal right to work in the UK School Information This 11–18 mixed secondary school in Rochester is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and has an exceptional reputation for academic achievement and pastoral care. With approximately 1,400 students on roll and a thriving Sixth Form, the school is oversubscribed and consistently delivers excellent results. In 2024, 78% of students achieved grades 9–5 in GCSE Spanish , reflecting the department’s strong teaching standards and commitment to excellence. The Spanish department is collaborative, forward-thinking, and well-equipped with modern digital learning resources.
