Job description
A high-performing secondary school in Manchester is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Examinations Officer to join its administrative team as soon as possible. This is a key role within the school, ensuring the smooth and compliant running of all internal and external examinations. The school places strong emphasis on academic outcomes and regulatory compliance, and the Examinations Officer will play a central role in maintaining high standards. The Role Managing all aspects of GCSE and A Level examination administration Liaising with examination boards and ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations Coordinating exam timetables and room allocations Training and supervising invigilators Managing examination entries, amendments, and results processing Ensuring secure storage and handling of exam materials Producing data reports for senior leadership Supporting post-results services and appeals processes The Ideal Candidate Will Have Previous experience in school examinations administration Strong knowledge of JCQ regulations and procedures Excellent organisational and data management skills High attention to detail and accuracy The ability to work under pressure during peak periods A professional and proactive approach This Manchester secondary school benefits from structured systems and supportive leadership committed to academic excellence.
