Job description
A well-established secondary school in Milton Keynes is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Music ECT to join their Music department for an immediate start . This is an excellent environment for an Early Career Teacher who wants consistent professional support and the space to grow into a confident classroom practitioner. About the Role You will be teaching Music across KS3–KS4 , with the potential to support GCSE groups once fully confident. The Music Faculty follows a carefully sequenced curriculum designed to promote conceptual understanding, music fluency, and secure problem-solving skills. ECTs are supported through team planning, lesson structure guidance, and shared assessment strategies. As an ECT, you will receive: A reduced teaching timetable during your induction A dedicated mentor available for weekly coaching Regular classroom observation and developmental feedback Protected time for reflection and planning Structured CPD aimed specifically at early career professional needs The school understands the balance between growth and sustainability — you will not be overloaded, isolated, or left to manage behavioural issues without support.
