Job description
Mixed secondary school based in Bournemouth Maths ECT to join a supportive and enthusiastic Mathematics department Our Client is seeking a Maths ECT to teach KS3 and KS4 within a welcoming and well-structured secondary school in Bournemouth. The role includes delivering engaging and well-sequenced Maths lessons, supporting curriculum enrichment, and developing confidence in classroom practice through sustained mentoring and training. School Information This 11–18 school educates approximately 1,300 pupils and maintains consistently strong progress scores across core subjects. The Mathematics department benefits from mastery-focused schemes of work, shared model answers, diagnostic questioning tools and resources that build fluency and depth. Students respond positively to Maths, with strong uptake at higher tiers. ECTs receive structured induction support with weekly mentoring, collaborative planning sessions and a reduced timetable during the first year. Staff describe the school as organised, friendly and committed to professional development. Leadership places strong emphasis on wellbeing and work–life balance.
