SENCo – Inclusive Secondary School – Redbridge Role: SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) Nature: Full-Time, Permanent Start: September 2025 Salary: Leadership Scale (Dependent on Experience) An inclusive secondary school in Redbridge is seeking an experienced and passionate SENCo to join their dedicated team from September 2024 . This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic individual who is committed to providing high-quality support for students with special educational needs (SEN) and promoting inclusive education throughout the school. You will play a pivotal role in leading the SEN department, ensuring all students with additional needs are supported to achieve their full potential. Role Highlights: Full-time, permanent position at a well-established secondary school in Redbridge Lead and manage the SEN provision , ensuring it is delivered effectively across the school Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) , collaborating with teachers and support staff to provide tailored interventions Monitor and track the progress of students with SEN , ensuring that teaching strategies and interventions are effective Foster a whole-school approach to inclusion , promoting best practices in teaching and learning for students with additional needs Lead a team of SEN staff , providing guidance, support, and professional development Work closely with parents, carers , and external agencies to provide holistic support for students Ensure compliance with SEN legislation and contribute to the development of school policies related to SEN Experience & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo) – or a commitment to achieving it Proven experience in a SENCo role or equivalent leadership position within a secondary school Strong knowledge of SEN strategies and experience working with a diverse range of special educational needs Leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team of professionals and drive positive change Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Enhanced DBS check required Why Join Us?
