Job description
We are currently seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join an inclusive and forward-thinking secondary school in Christchurch. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026. • Art Teacher • Inclusive and Forward-Thinking School in Christchurch • Equivalent of MPS/UPS Salary • Full-time, permanent position • Art Teacher role starting January 2026 School Information This Christchurch school is known for its inclusive ethos, community values, and strong academic results. The Art Department is a cornerstone of creativity within the school, featuring purpose-built studios, digital art facilities, and exhibition spaces. Students regularly participate in local and national art showcases, reflecting the school’s emphasis on self-expression and confidence building. Role Information The successful candidate will teach Art across KS3–KS5, encouraging students to develop their skills across a variety of media. You will have the opportunity to lead creative projects, organise exhibitions, and collaborate with other departments on cross-curricular initiatives. Experience and Qualifications • Degree in Art, Fine Art, or related subject • PGCE and QTS • Experience teaching Art to KS3/4 (KS5 desirable) • Strong creative and organisational skills Salary Paid to scale on MPS / UPS Application This Art Teacher role is an excellent opportunity to join an inclusive and dynamic school community in Christchurch where creativity and collaboration are highly valued.
