Job description
A prestigious Independent School in Westminster seeks a passionate and talented Music Teacher for a part-time, permanent position. We are looking for an educator who can inspire a love of music and contribute to the school's rich and diverse musical program. About Our Learning Community: Our school provides a stimulating and culturally rich environment with a strong tradition in the performing arts. The Music department boasts excellent facilities, including practice rooms, a recording studio, and a concert hall. About the Role: Deliver engaging and varied Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering music theory, history, composition, and performance. Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that cater to a range of musical interests and abilities. Assess student progress through practical performances, compositions, and written work, providing constructive feedback. Direct and conduct school ensembles or instrumental groups as required. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Music. A strong knowledge of music theory, history, and performance practices across different genres. Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument to a high standard. Excellent communication, organizational, and potentially conducting skills.
