Job description

Do you want to work for a company that does more? More to invest in your talent? More to help you thrive? More to support your development and progression? More to look after your wellbeing? More to help you do the job you trained for? Then you’ve just met your perfect fit! Here at Medigold Health, we believe great occupational health changes lives… not just for the people you support, but for the organisations you guide. If you’re someone who values doing work that matters and guiding clients through the ups and downs of workplace health, and bringing clarity to complex situations, you will feel right at home with us! You’ll be joining a team where your clinical judgement makes a noticeable difference to how organisations look after their people. One moment you may be offering calm, practical advice to a client navigating a difficult sickness absence case, and the next you could be advising pension trustees reviewing a complex ill health retirement claim, or supporting the implementation of a company health surveillance programme. Your work helps people find a way forward and gives employers the direction and reassurance they need. You will have the backing of and support from friendly, highly skilled colleagues and leading-edge technology that reduces admin tasks and makes your working day smoother, not harder. Most importantly, you will be trusted to deliver the kind of thoughtful, consistent and compassionate occupational health that we pride ourselves on, within a strong clinical governance framework. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact while growing your career in a business that values clinical excellence and human connection in equal measure. The role you’ll be doing: Providing medical advice to a wide range of private and public sector organisations nationwide, from pre-placement through sickness absence to ill health retirement. Delivering telephone, video and/or face-to-face consultations to conduct Occupational Health assessments. Managing a range of cases including fitness for work, workplace adjustments, return-to-work, and health surveillance. Producing clear, concise and professional reports supported by our industry-leading in-house assistive technology and using medical opinion to make evidence-based practical recommendations. Liaising with our clients and other healthcare professionals to support employee health and wellbeing within the organisation. Ensuring the provision of occupational health services to Medigold clients and their employees is of the highest standard at all times. What you’ll need: Qualified Occupational Health Physician with DipOccMed/ AFOM/ MFOM/ FFOM on the GMC register with a current licence to practise. Demonstrable experience in occupational health, preferably including absence case management, fitness for work assessments, and health surveillance. Good understanding of relevant workplace health and safety legislation, employment law and guidelines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and time management skills. Commitment to delivering a high-quality service and your own continuing professional development. The benefits that we offer you: Joining Medigold Health means becoming part of a company that genuinely puts people at the heart of everything we do and looks after its own. Alongside a supportive clinical network and plenty of opportunities to develop, you will have access to a range of benefits designed to help you feel well, stay well and enjoy life outside work too. The opportunity to work across a wide range of industries in a stimulating and collaborative clinical environment. Appropriate support and supervision with regular clinical team meetings encouraging peer interaction and mentoring. Access to comprehensive professional development with frequent internal CPD opportunities in addition to a generous external study leave allowance. When appropriate, the option to move onto a training programme to support those pursuing the CESR portfolio pathway. Future opportunities for career progression and developing clinical expertise, such as Health Surveillance, Transport, Pensions, and/or working as a client Lead OHP. A competitive salary and a benefits package that includes: - Medical Indemnity cover and professional membership fees reimbursed. - Financial support offered for specialist qualification courses. - 31 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays, increasing with length of service - Flexible working opportunities - Income protection insurance - Private medical insurance - Private healthcare plan - Generous group life insurance (4 x annual salary) - Company pension scheme with employer contribution - Exclusive discounts on shopping, holidays and gym membership - Online wellbeing centre - Virtual GP services - Employee Assistance Programme Interested in this role but want to find out more first?
