Job description
A highly regarded outstanding school in Swindon is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join its successful Design & Technology department from April 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to teach motivated pupils in a well-structured, high-performing school where practical subjects are well supported and valued. Food Technology is a popular and well-established subject within the school, with strong student engagement and high standards of practical and theoretical work. The Role Teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities depending on experience Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured practical and theory-based lessons Supporting pupils with coursework, NEA, and controlled assessments Promoting safe working practices and maintaining high standards of hygiene and health & safety Encouraging creativity, independence, and practical skills development Working collaboratively within a supportive and well-resourced DT department The Ideal Candidate Will Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) A degree in Food Technology, Design & Technology, or a related subject Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4 Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice High expectations for pupil behaviour, engagement, and progress A professional, organised, and positive teaching approach School Information This outstanding school in Swindon is known for its strong academic outcomes, excellent behaviour, and supportive leadership.
