The Role The Data Officer is a key member of the Data & Assessment team, supporting academic monitoring, assessment cycles, and strategic decision-making. You will work closely with senior leaders, teachers, pastoral teams, exam officers, and administrative staff to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and impactful. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain the school’s MIS (Arbor, SIMS, Bromcom or similar) Produce clear and insightful data reports for leaders and governors Coordinate assessment and reporting cycles Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and assessment data Track performance and attendance trends Support exam analysis and results reporting Complete statutory returns, including the School Census Manage timetable and intervention data Ensure GDPR compliance and secure data handling Troubleshoot system issues and liaise with MIS providers Train and support staff in using data systems and reports About the Department The Data Department is central to school improvement, informing teaching strategies, interventions, parental communication, and performance evaluation. The team works in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where accuracy and confidentiality are essential.
