Religious Studies Teacher - Catholic School in Gloucester Our client is seeking a committed and reflective Religious Studies Teacher to join a well-regarded Catholic secondary school in Gloucester. This is a full-time, permanent position starting as soon as possible, offering the opportunity to teach in a faith-centred, supportive and academically strong school community. Rooted in Catholic values, the school places great importance on faith formation, inclusion, respect and the holistic development of every student. The school benefits from modern teaching facilities, well-resourced classrooms and a collaborative, caring staff culture. Religious Education sits at the heart of the curriculum, and the department plays a central role in the spiritual, moral and social development of the school community. The Role The Religious Studies Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality Religious Education across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 depending on experience. The role requires a thoughtful, engaging approach that inspires students to explore faith, ethics and moral responsibility within a Catholic context. Key responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering engaging Religious Studies lessons in line with the Catholic ethos Supporting students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development Assessing, tracking and reporting on student progress effectively Contributing to collective worship, liturgical life and school faith activities Working collaboratively within the Religious Education department and wider school community Candidate Profile Qualified Religious Studies Teacher (QTS, PGCE or equivalent) Ability to teach Religious Studies at KS3–KS4 (KS5 experience desirable) Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to support the faith life of the school Strong classroom management and positive behaviour strategies Excellent communication and teamwork skills Right to work in the UK (Applicants do not need to be practising Catholics, but must be supportive of the Catholic ethos.)
