Job description
School Receptionist | Whitby, North Yorkshire Supporting student success in a close-knit coastal community. A popular secondary school in Whitby is looking for a dedicated School Receptionist to join their administrative team. Our school is a central part of the community, and our reception desk is the bridge between the school and local families. This is a fast-paced role requiring administrative rigour and genuine warmth. The Snapshot Location: Whitby, North Yorkshire Salary: North Yorkshire County Council Grade Contract: Full-time, Term-time only Environment: A supportive, hardworking office team with a focus on staff well-being. Detailed Responsibilities Safeguarding & Attendance: Managing visitor access and working with the Attendance Officer to track absences and make "first-day" calls to parents. Financial Admin: Assisting with school trip payments and managing petty cash or uniform sales via online portals like ParentPay. Event Coordination: Organizing Parents' Evenings and Open Days by managing invitation lists and greeting attendees.
