Job description
Are you passionate about mathematics and eager to share your enthusiasm with the next generation? We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Maths Teacher to join a vibrant academic community in Wolverhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach students across KS3, KS4, and KS5, helping them develop strong mathematical skills and a deep understanding of the subject. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and challenging maths lessons to students at KS3, KS4, and KS5. Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages logical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning. Assess and track student progress through both formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback for improvement. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident and motivated to engage with maths. Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students, ensuring that all learners can succeed. Collaborate with colleagues within the department to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress. Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Mathematics or a related field. A formal teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent). Proven experience teaching maths at KS3, KS4, and KS5. Strong knowledge of GCSE and A-Level maths content and exam specifications. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students in mathematical discussions. A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential in maths. Skills and Attributes: Enthusiastic about mathematics and committed to fostering a love for the subject. Creative in lesson planning, using a variety of teaching methods to ensure all students are challenged. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Able to work collaboratively within a team to achieve departmental goals. Skilled in using technology to enhance teaching and learning in mathematics.
