Job description
We are excited to offer an amazing opportunity for a dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a supportive, 2-form entry primary school in Croydon starting in September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role for a KS1/KS2 Teacher. Early Career Teacher (ECT) – KS1/KS2 Teacher Role Start Date: September 2025 Location: Croydon Working Hours: Full-Time Contract Type: Permanent The School: Located in Croydon, this good-rated primary school is committed to providing an engaging and enriching educational experience for all students. The school fosters an inclusive and positive learning environment that prioritizes academic excellence and personal development. Collaboration among staff is highly encouraged, and the leadership team is supportive of your professional growth. The school is easily accessible with excellent transport links, and parking is available for staff. KS1/KS2 Teacher Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of your class. Foster a positive, stimulating classroom environment that inspires a love for learning. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and setting development goals. Encourage students to take responsibility for their learning and develop critical thinking skills. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the curriculum. Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, updating them on progress. Participate in professional development, school activities, and staff meetings. KS1/KS2 Teacher Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Passion for teaching in Key Stage 1 or 2. Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs. A collaborative, inclusive approach to teaching and learning. Commitment to continuous professional development and teaching best practices.
