Physics Teacher | Hillingdon | April or September Start Role: Specialist Physics Teacher (KS3–KS5) Location: London Borough of Hillingdon (Uxbridge/Hayes/Ruislip area) Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS (Outer London) + Potential Recruitment Retention Allowance (RRA) Are you a subject specialist with a passion for the laws of the universe? Can you make complex concepts like quantum mechanics and electromagnetism accessible and exciting for young minds? Wayman Education is seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher to join a thriving Science department at a successful secondary school in Hillingdon . This is a school that prides itself on its STEM provision and is looking for a specialist who can inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists. The Role You will join a well-resourced department with a strong track record of success at GCSE and A-Level. Curriculum Focus: Deliver high-quality Physics lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a particular emphasis on stretching A-Level cohorts. Practical Learning: Work alongside a dedicated Science Technician to deliver engaging, safe, and impactful laboratory experiments. STEM Initiatives: Lead or contribute to extra-curricular clubs, such as Robotics, Astronomy, or Engineering challenges. Academic Achievement: Use data-driven strategies to ensure all students make outstanding progress, particularly in Triple Science and A-Level Physics. The Candidate Subject Expertise: A degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field, combined with QTS. A-Level Experience: Proven ability (or the clear potential) to teach Physics to Key Stage 5. Communicator: The ability to explain abstract mathematical concepts with clarity and enthusiasm. Hillingdon-Based/Commuter: Ideally located within reach of Hillingdon, or looking to move to this well-connected West London borough. Why This School?
