Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maths ECT to join a high-achieving and inclusive secondary school in Ashford. This is a full-time position starting in January 2026 , offering excellent mentoring, structured support, and professional development to help you launch your teaching career successfully. Maths ECT required to work full-time Outstanding mixed secondary school in Ashford Join a successful and well-resourced Mathematics department with a comprehensive ECT induction programme This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic new teacher to begin their career in a school renowned for its academic excellence, supportive ethos, and innovative approach to teaching and learning. The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4 , with potential to contribute to A-Level Maths for suitable candidates. Experience and Qualifications • Maths ECT (PGCE or equivalent completed) • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Mathematics education • Commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional growth • Legal right to work in the UK School Information This 11–18 mixed secondary school in Ashford is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and has an exceptional reputation for academic achievement and pastoral care. With approximately 1,400 students on roll and a thriving Sixth Form, the school is oversubscribed and consistently delivers excellent results. In 2024, 78% of students achieved grades 9–5 in GCSE Mathematics , reflecting the department’s strong teaching standards and commitment to excellence.
