SEN Teacher – Mainstream Secondary School – Hillingdon – ASAP Start 📍 Location: Hillingdon 📅 Start Date: ASAP 📄 Contract: Full-Time, Permanent 💰 Salary: Dependent on Experience Are you a passionate SEN Teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in a mainstream secondary school ? Your Role as an SEN Teacher: 🔹 Support and teach students with a range of SEN needs , including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties. 🔹 Adapt and differentiate lesson materials to ensure accessibility for all students within a mainstream classroom. 🔹 Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress. 🔹 Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to support students’ academic and personal development. 🔹 Collaborate with parents, carers, and external specialists to create the best possible support network for students. 🔹 Help implement and uphold the school’s inclusive teaching policies and ensure a positive, nurturing learning environment. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN teaching (within a mainstream or specialist setting). ✅ Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and effective classroom strategies for supporting students with additional needs. ✅ Experience working with secondary-age students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, or other learning difficulties . ✅ A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching and student support. ✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to inclusive education. ✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
