Job description
Wayman Education is looking for a Music ECT Teacher to join a thriving Good-rated Secondary School in Watford on a January start , working full-time within a dynamic and ambitious Performing Arts department. This is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate early-career Music teacher who values strong mentoring, supportive colleagues, and a school culture that recognises the importance of Music within a broad and balanced curriculum. You will teach Music across KS3 and KS4 , delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ performance skills, creative composition, listening ability, and wider musical understanding. The department has a strong ethos of practical music-making and encourages students to participate actively in both curricular and extra-curricular music. The Music department benefits from: Modern rehearsal rooms Keyboard and technology suites Access to DAWs and composition software A well-appointed performance hall Strong technician support ECT development is taken extremely seriously. Experience and Qualifications Degree in Music or related field QTS / PGCE Confidence teaching Music KS3–KS4 Willingness to support and deliver extra-curricular music Salary Paid to scale MPS1–MPS2 .
