School Business Manager – Prep School, Winchester Location: Winchester, Hampshire Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Start Date: January 2026 Salary: Competitive About the School This established independent prep school in Winchester combines academic rigour with a strong sense of community . About the Role We are seeking a proactive and experienced School Business Manager to oversee financial, operational, and administrative functions . You will work closely with the leadership team to plan budgets, monitor expenditure, manage compliance, and support operational efficiency . Key Responsibilities: Managing the school’s budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting Overseeing HR, payroll, and administrative operations Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements Supporting strategic planning and operational decision-making Coordinating school contracts, procurement, and resources Leading and developing administrative and finance staff Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate is organised, confident, and strategic , with experience in school finance or senior operational roles . You should be able to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels , anticipate challenges, and implement efficient systems.
