Job description
A well-established secondary school in Watford is seeking a professional, approachable, and highly organised School Receptionist to join their front-of-house team. This is a full-time, permanent position starting ASAP, providing essential support to students, staff, parents, and visitors. About the Role As a School Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for anyone entering the school. You will manage the reception area, respond to enquiries, and provide administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a professional and friendly demeanor, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy school environment. You will also support attendance monitoring and administrative procedures as required. Key Responsibilities • Greeting visitors and managing sign-in/sign-out procedures • Answering and directing telephone calls and email enquiries • Supporting attendance recording and safeguarding protocols • Handling incoming and outgoing post and deliveries • Assisting with organisation of school events, meetings, and parent evenings • Providing general administrative support to staff and leadership • Maintaining confidentiality and compliance with school policies About the School This Watford secondary school is recognised for strong academic performance, excellent pastoral care, and a collaborative staff culture.
