Job description
Join a school in Ealing with a strong performing arts department as a Music Teacher from September 2025. This is an opportunity to inspire a love of music and develop musical talent among students across Key Stages 3-5, fostering creativity and performance skills within a supportive and well-resourced environment. About Our Learning Community: We are a school committed to providing a rich and diverse performing arts program, encouraging students to explore their musical potential and develop their performance skills. Our Music department boasts a dedicated team of specialist teachers and excellent facilities. About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Music lessons across Key Stages 3-5, following exam specifications and incorporating a wide range of musical genres and styles. Plan and deliver lessons that foster musical performance, composition, and appreciation skills, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources, including instrumental instruction, vocal training, and music technology. Assess student progress through performances, compositions, and written work, providing detailed feedback to support their development. Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum, integrating current musical trends and performance techniques, and participate in departmental planning. Organize and lead musical performances, concerts, and extracurricular music activities, such as choirs, bands, and instrumental ensembles, promoting student engagement and artistic expression. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong Music subject knowledge, including performance, composition, and music theory. Demonstrated experience teaching Music to A-Level, with a focus on both practical skills and theoretical understanding. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and musical skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
