Job description
Role Category & Location Sector: Large Local Authority Secondary School. Location: Manchester (North West, England). Start Date: Permanent, full-time role commencing January 2026. The Opportunity & Role Profile An excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join a large secondary school as its Site Manager. This role carries significant responsibility for the security, maintenance, and operational efficiency of the entire campus, leading the in-house site support team. Core Responsibilities & Scope Team Commander: Direct line management and supervision of all Caretaking and cleaning teams, overseeing rotas and performance. Compliance Chief: Full responsibility for site security, statutory H&S checks, and managing risk assessments. Maintenance Planner: Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance, supervising external contractors, and managing premises budgets in coordination with the School Business Manager. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Extensive experience in site or premises management, demonstrable maintenance skills, and strong team leadership capability. Salary Range: Highly competitive salary (expected to be £38,000 - £48,000 per annum). Support: Generous Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and a high level of autonomy
