Job description
Location: Lewisham Start Date: April/September 2025 Position: Permanent/Temporary Salary: MPS/UPS About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join a highly successful and well-resourced department at an outstanding mixed school near Lewisham. The ideal candidate will have a strong subject knowledge, be able to inspire students, and contribute to the department’s ongoing success. You will be working alongside experienced and supportive colleagues who are committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities: Teach Physical Education across KS3 - KS5, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons. Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that inspire, challenge, and support students. Use data-driven assessment methods to monitor progress and provide feedback. Contribute to the department’s curriculum development and extracurricular activities. Maintain high expectations for student behaviour, achievement, and engagement. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student learning and progress. Requirements: Qualified Physical Education Teacher with the ability to teach up to KS5. Holds a formal teaching qualification with QTS (e.g., PGCE). Strong classroom management skills and a passion for teaching Physical Education. Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
