Job description
A large Mixed State School in the Hounslow area seeks a dedicated and thoughtful Religious Education Teacher for a full-time, permanent position commencing in September. The successful candidate will inspire students across the secondary curriculum to develop their religious literacy, understanding of different faiths, and critical thinking skills regarding ethical issues. * **About Our Learning Community:** Our large and diverse school is committed to providing an inclusive education that values the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of all students. The RE department aims to foster understanding and respect for different beliefs and perspectives. * **About the Role:** * Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across the secondary curriculum, covering a range of world religions, beliefs, and ethical systems. * Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that encourage critical thinking, discussion, and respectful dialogue. * Assess student progress through essays, presentations, and other forms of assessment, providing constructive feedback. * Contribute to the development of the RE curriculum and participate in departmental initiatives. * **Ideal Candidate:** * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Religious Education or Theology. * A good understanding of the secondary RE curriculum and effective teaching methodologies for a diverse student population. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate respectful discussions on sensitive topics. * **Benefits:** * Competitive salary (MPS/UPS + Outer London Weighting) commensurate with experience. * Opportunities for professional development within a supportive school environment. * **To Apply:** Please send your CV
